His background includes being a producer for Chess Records in Chicago, music director for Nancy Wilson, and writer for singer Abby Lincoln and Barbara Morrison.  Phil hired Jeannine on many jazz gigs which gave her the opportunity to perform with seasoned jazz greats like Bassists Larry Gales (who performed with Thelonius Monk, Johnny Griffin, etc.), James Leary (who performed with Sammy Davis, Nancy Wilson, Count Basie Band, etc.), Al McKibbon (who performed with Cal Tjader, Sammy Davis, Thelonius Monk, etc.), John Herd (who performed with Ahmad Jamal, etc.), Andy Simpkins (who performed with Sarah Vaughn, George Shearing, The Three Sounds, etc.), saxaphonist Herman Riley (who performed with Jimmy Smith), Trumpet player Al Aarons (who performed with Count Basie, etc) and singer Barbara Morrison.
