August Highlights -
We had a great time last month at 4thFridays. Our special musical guests were Aden Springsteen and Pam Hurtt. Both delivered excellent performances with inspiring messages that made the evening very memorable.

rufus harris – We started off the night listening to our house band – rufus harris who shared some old and new tunes. The new CD entitled How Do You Read It? takes an honest yet hopeful look at the state of the Western church. It’s a fresh and innovative CD rooted in the Word.
The project will be available at this month’s 4thFridays' show so be sure to pick up your copy. Or you can send a check for $12.99 to Red Letter Records 5119 Highland Road PMB #207 Waterford, MI 48327. The CD will also be available online and in some stores in about a month.
THE RELEASE PARTY IS NEXT MONTH AT 4THFRIDAYS, OCTOBER 24TH!!Aden Springsteen – Don’t you just love his name! Although, there's no relation to Bruce. This guy is obviously gifted vocally and a talented writer as well. He performed some tunes from his newest release entitled - Everlasting Praise. Aden has an impressive vocal range and his songs

have a very clear message. He shared how as the sun sets at different times and in different parts of the world, people are praising the Lord. – so the sun never sets on His praise. What a great message!
If you missed Aden at 4thFridays find out where he will be playing in town. Check out his website for more information:
Next was Pam Hurtt –
Wow! While they may look like the Supremes, as Pam humorously commented, their sound and their message is much better - sorry Diana. Pam along with 3 talented background vocalists (Pamela McKinley, Carolyn Sanford and Karen Tabor) shared songs from her newest CD entitled There.
The ladies dressed in black and white were fun to watch but more importantly shared an
inspiring message of hope in the midst of despair. Pam shared how God brought her through illness and never left her alone. He was always there to lift her up and give her hope. Her project has also given others hope and encouragement. Through her music and testimony she challenges those who listen to know the love and awesomeness of God for themselves.
Here's a look at what's coming up on September 26th!
the very cool smooth Jazz Band - Zamar!
(I'm pretty sure they won't be in their suits and they may be barefooted :)
Most of you know these guys by now, so they need very little introduction. But for those of you who don’t, these six highly-skilled musicians always have people amazed at how instrumental music is able to minister spiritually "and be rockin' too"! Their high energy performances and melodic songs are always unforgettable.
Zamar has just celebrated the release of their new CD and will be sharing some of their new tunes this coming Friday. You won’t want to miss this performance.
the Poet's Corner -
C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters – Back by popular demand! Yes our coffee man – Lawrence Strong takes off his apron and puts on his English dialect for more of these popular readings. Learn more of Uncle Screwtape’s plot to deceive mankind.
