May Highlights -
When we pulled up to the Ford Center last month we were delighted to see 4thFridays listed on the marquee. Great timing, so we thought. Then we noticed it seemed to be up there for an extra long amount of time. As we took a closer look we discovered the computer- generated marquee was stuck - yes stuck on our event. A service truck was working on fixing the problem. Having our event listed on the marquee is great advertisement considering over 20,000 vehicles pass by the center every day.

Then it was on to the Dome Room - that's were we held the show last month. It's a rather large room but with a little creativity, we managed to turn it into a cozy, more intimate setting.
rufus harris - our 4F Houseband - started off the night just right with some cool tunes.

Next… Funny Man - Darryl Earl was great! We first heard him at The Upper Room Entertainment Complex in Detroit. He left the audience there in stitches. But the 4thFridays crowd is a little different and can be a pretty tough one to win over. But Earl managed to do just that. A comedian for ten plus years and family man, Earl shared funny stories about family, church, and life in general from a Christian point of view. He was hilarious to say the least. He is currently looking a recording a comedy CD to be released possibly later this year. We'll keep you posted.

Rufus interviews Darryl - also known as the "Minister of Laughter" - afterwards to find out how he got started in comedy and how he comes up with his funny material.
Next was Trip the Light Fantastic - Kacha, Michelle, Steve, and Brian make up this Acoustic Alternative Rock Band. They were a real delight. Their creativity, energy, and fresh sound filled the Dome Room. Their music is engaging and fun to listen to. They also proved to be spontaneous. In the music business you have to be ready for anything. Early on in their set, Kacha broke a guitar string. Michelle sang a song called See the People acapella beautifully while he changed his strings.

Here's a look at what's coming up on June 27th
Acoustic Rock Artist Kevin Earnst - Kevin is a worship & youth minister at Southpoint Community Christian Church in Trenton. He has been writing music and performing for the past ten years and says he desires to reach people through music and encouragement. He studied music and ministry at Cincinnati Bible College and spent a few years in Nashville where he first became serious about studio recording. Kevin was given the opportunity to do background vocals for a worship project with worship leader and songwriter, Jeff Moody. His music is unique and melodic. He'll share songs from his new release - Overflow on June 27th.

Acid Jazz Artist -SiloamPool - We're happy to welcome back this smooth, charismatic band to the 4thfridays' stage. SiloamPool is a unique, stylized group that is soulful and poetic with intense grooves and heart-felt emotion.
