May Highlights

4thFridays...
....just keeps getting better and better! May was an exciting month at 4th Fridays. If you didn’t make it, you really missed a fantastic show. We listened to the exotic sounds of acoustic guitarist, Scott Loudon. He took us to far away places as he shared original songs from his latest release, River in Jerusalem.

And we were completely blown away by the smooth sounds of Zamar "Instruments of Praise". These Contemporary Jazz Musicians delivered an outstanding encore performance.

Last but not least, rufus harris, the 4thFridays’ house band, closed the evening with that clever rock and soul fusion sending the audience happily on their way.

Coming Up June 28...
Two outstanding musicians take the stage. Our special guests include Jazz Artist - Damon Terrell. Also known as Mr. Versatile, Damon plays guitar and keyboards with great skill and ease. His musical influences include Prince, Guns-n-Roses, Lenny Kravitz, Yanni, and George Winstin.

 Also coming to us all the way from Sherwood Michigan (that’s the other side of the state folks) – Country Artist, Sam Dougherty. This gifted singer and songwriter will share inspiring songs from his newest project - Six Strings & God. He says the songs are a life- telling story.

News Update – We’re Moving!

4thFridays w/rufus harris is happy to announce our move to the beautiful Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. 

This 98,000 square foot center is the largest municipally owned facility in North America. We will make the move beginning July. This will be our permanent home. The staff is very excited about bringing 4thFridays to their center and has gone out of their way to ensure we have everything we need. Be sure to join us in July as we kick off our series at the new lovely facility. Look for our special mailer next month announcing our move with directions to the new location.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the Southfield Centre for the Arts, our co-sponsor, for all of their support over the past four months. We will truly miss the staff. A special thanks goes out to Pattie Dearie-Koski and Drew Ramsey for all of their help in pulling these shows together. 


4thFridays with rufus harris is a music and art series in a coffeehouse setting. Sponsored by Bridge Records, 4F is held every 4th Friday of the month. On June 28th we will be at the following address:
